Delete your Our Story account and data

Effective June 15, 2026. This page explains how to request deletion of your Our Story account and associated data.

How to request account deletion

Send an email to privacy@ourstory.one from the email address connected to your Our Story account. Use the subject line "Delete my Our Story account" and include the email address on the account you want deleted.

What we delete

After verifying the request, we delete or anonymize your account profile and associated app data, including your display name, profile photo, partner invite records, couple workspace membership, memories, photos, comments, bucket list items, countdowns, daily question answers, messages, voice notes, and file attachments controlled by your account or couple workspace.

What may be retained

We may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, tax, accounting, payment dispute, or abuse-prevention purposes. Subscription and transaction records may also remain with payment providers such as Stripe or Google Play according to their own retention rules.

How long deletion takes

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Backup copies and security logs may take up to 90 days to expire from routine systems unless a longer retention period is legally required.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can delete many items inside the app, including memories, plans, comments, countdowns, messages where available, and profile changes. You can also email privacy@ourstory.one to request deletion of specific data without deleting your account.
